Clean Up Day in Joby's Run on March 21 was a successful event. Neighbors pitched in to clean and sanitize, sweep, weed, and perform some much needed landscaping. Rec & Park workers were on hand with tools and hoses.
A load of gravel provided by RPD was used to fill low spots where water formed puddles. To preserve the integrity of the play surface, our industrious volunteers carefully scraped away the original high-quality and highly porous decomposed granite and then reapplied it after leveling the low spots with fill
We also completed the installation of 120 feet of border along the bottom of the fence. This improvement closes a wide gap that posed a hazard to small dogs, helps contain the surface material, and prevents balls from escaping into the inaccessible region beyond the fence. No longer will sad doggies pine the loss of their favorite toy just beyond their reach in plain sight. The border was provided by Friends of Upper Noe Dog Owners Group (FUNDOG).
